In beautiful Old Town Montreal, this space is anything but old. It has a very unique layout, dim lighting, and conveys an overall trendy and young vibe. Definitely a good space to come for a night out with the girls (or boys), if your trying to impress some clients or a date. They even have specials projected on the wall above some of the tables, which I thought was very cool! The only downfall was the booth that I sat in. The bench forced you to sit very upright and it was a tad on the small side so I had to maneuver myself quite a bit just to try and read the menu. Other than that, it was a great space.
Our server was very nice and friendly and clearly knew his menu (when I mentioned I was vegetarian he quickly listed off the vegetarian options on the menu). Despite the fact that the place was not packed (although quite busy for a Tuesday night) the service was quite slow. I would say not to plan for a very quick meal here.
I was lucky enough to enjoy the Venetie Valpolicella Red wine. It is now one of my favourite Italian red wines …if I can get my hands on it again. Unfortunately you can only order this by the bottle, but I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a top notch red and is not afraid to spend a bit of money on their drinks!
Whenever I see fried goat cheese on a menu I always have to go for it! The salad was amazing and the fried goat cheese was done perfectly (creamy on the inside with the perfect crust on the outside). The vinaigrette had a subtle sweet flavour and the apples gave it a wonderful fresh crisp taste. I would eat this again for sure.
This is a pizza place with not a ton of other options…so if you don’t like Pizza then this is not for you. I had a difficult time choosing a pizza as they had a wide variety of interesting choices, but I ended up picking “2 Champs” as I am a big fan of white pizza (no tomato sauce used) and mushrooms. The crust was delicious and I am 99% sure it was cooked in a wood oven (little charred, but I actually like that). The garlic cream as the base was mouth watering and the Morels and Shitake mushrooms used were plentiful. I have never had fresh parsley on a pizza, but was pleasantly surprised with the fresh flavour it added. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this.

There is definitely a lot of meat on the menu, but more than enough options for vegetarians like me as well. And I am sure that if I saw a pizza that had meat that I wanted to try, they would make it without it. I would give the vegetarians out there the green light on this place.
It definitely isn’t cheap, but the prices are also fairly reasonable for what you get. If you want to watch your spending at this place you can, but if you order an expensive bottle of wine (as I had), a salad and a fancier pizza than a margherita, then you won’t be walking out of here for less than $100 for two. Now ALL of the above was split between 2 people (shared wine, salad and pizza) and I felt that it was more than enough for me to eat. So if you do what I did then you are looking at around $50/pp. Again not cheap, but really good food.
I would definitely recommend this place if you either live in Montreal or are going for a visit. The part of town the restaurant is in is beautiful, the space was very fun, the food was delicious, so what more could you really ask for. I will consider coming back here next time I’m in town!
