- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 2 cups Vegetable Broth (low sodium)
- 3 Sage Leaves, minced
- 3 Thyme Sprigs, minced
- pinch Salt & Pepper
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter then add in the flour whisking to create a roux. Continue to whisk and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
- While continuing to stir, slowly pour the vegetable broth in a little at a time. By adding it in slowly it will help prevent clumps from forming.
- When broth is fully incorporated add in minced thyme and sage as well as salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes until it is thickened (if too thick add a little more broth to loosen it up).
