Very fun space with multi levels and a patio (used only in the summer). Has a home-mixed-with-Italian-restaurant feel. We were seated in a more private section with a large table and bench and bottles of wines surrounding us on shelves. This was really enjoyable as we were a group of 7 and this provided more than enough room and made it feel like we weren’t in restaurant at all.
Server was friendly. Brought us plenty of bottles of water for the table and took our orders quickly.
I always try and stick to Italian wine when dining in an Italian restaurant. I have had Montepulciano wine before and really enjoyed this one. Would definitely recommend ordering a bottle if you enjoy a solid red.
I didn’t order an appetizer, but really soft bread slices with their house olive oil was served to the table, which was very delicious. Nice crust on the outside of the bread too, very fresh. Always a favourite way to start a meal.
My husband and I did our usual Pizza/Pasta split and ended up ordering the Gnocchi alla Simi and Margherita Pizza. Both were good, but nothing overly special. The pizza when brought to the table was a bit cold, but still very good. Crust, sauce and cheese were all done authentic and well. The gnocchi was topped with a ball of ricotta. Texture was good and sauce was flavourful and light, but I wish the ricotta was a bit warmed up as it cooled the gnocchi.
Lots of good options so vegetarians do not fear. A friend I was dining with is celiac and she was able to order plenty of food. So it seems to be good for lots of different dietary needs.
I would say this is a medium-high priced point restaurant. I have always felt that the price for the portion felt a little off (aka too high, for too little), but the food is at least good and consistent. I would say you are not going to be able to walk out of there without at least a $50pp bill. We ended up paying $80pp, but the bill was split among the table and quite a few bottles of wine was ordered.
I really like the Terroni chain atmosphere and menu options. The restaurants have unique character and charm and the food is consistently good. Little on the pricey side, but I will definitely go back. Would particularly like to try out their patio in the summer.
